Application

Accents Inc. invites you to join us for our
3rd Accents Aweigh Stitcher’s Cruise
Saturday, January 9th thru Saturday, January 16th 2010
aboard Carnival Cruise Lines’ Triumph
departing New Orleans to Key West, Freeport & Nassau, Bahamas

Everyone enjoyed the first and second cruises so much that we are hosting Accents Aweigh's 3rd cruise again in 2010. It will again be on Carnival Cruise Lines. The ship will be the Triumph.

We board ship on Saturday afternoon January 9th. The Triumph will depart New Orleans at 4:00 p.m. and will be at sea on Sunday as we stitch our way to Key West, Florida. On Monday we will be docked in Key West where we have several options of how to spend our day. We can book a tour through the ship, book one independently on shore, choose to just walk around Key West and “chill out” or we can remain onboard ship to play and stitch the day away.

On Tuesday we will be docked in Freeport Bahamas where we again have several options of how to spend our day. On Wednesday we dock in Nassau Bahamas where we spend our final day. On Thursday and Friday we will be aboard ship as we stitch our way home to New Orleans. We disembark the Triumph on Saturday morning.

This is a stress free weekend. It's a time to relax and unwind from the pressures of daily life through the joy of sitting with your stitching or enjoying the many activities aboard ship.

No stitching activities or classes are planned so that you are free to come and go as you please. In past years attendees moved in and out of the stitching room throughout the day. They stitched a little, cruised the ship a little, partook of the onboard spa, games, casino, returned to stitch a little more, retired to nap, etc.

We will be assigned an area aboard ship for our stitchers to gather. Our goal is to acquire a key to the room so we are able to leave our stitching supplies in the room 24/7, but we do not yet know if that will happen.

You have your choice of supper seating. In past years we all opted to eat as a group at the 6:00 early supper seating.

Cabin prices can be found on the Application Form at the top of the page. In addition to the Carnival fee, there is a registration fee of $60 per stitcher; $20 per non-stitching guest payable to Accents to cover various tips and expenses associated with the stitching group. This fee is payable in November 2009. For additional information you can or contact our Booking Agent below or access the Application Form if you click here

Attendee Comments:
****************************************************
I asked past attendees what was the best part of the cruise for them and these are the replies:
-Making new friends
-Being able to relax with friends
-No work. No phones. No pressures
-Everything. I love having the stitching room, but I did not stitch one stitch.
-I enjoyed seeing all my friends that I rarely get to see and always had something to do. whether it was a nap (which I took every day), stitching, going to the spa, gambling or just hanging around talking. No pressure to do anything...
-Being away from EVERYTHING, carefree and having people wait on me, for a change. I also enjoyed having meals and entertainment on the ship included in the package. -I could do as much or as little as I wanted to do each day.
-Getting my passport stamped for the first time ever!

I asked "What would you tell stitchers who didn't attend if they expressed an interest in coming next year" The replies were:
-Absolutely go!
-Although there was time for stitching, we had the opportunity to take advantage of the many activities onboard the ship - including the indulgences (ex. the wonderful body massage that left me feeling like a wet noodle!!! almost as good as BUTTA.
-Come. The food was great and the water was fine. You do not HAVE to stitch but you CAN stitch all day and eat.
-It was a great time away from work, with people I enjoy being around and no pressure to do anything. There was always something to do but plenty of time to be by yourself if you want to!
-If you think you can't afford it, crunch the numbers yourself. You don't have to drink, gamble or buy expensive souvenirs. There is still plenty to do. If you want to relax there is no better way to travel. If you are afraid of being seasick, get the patch and put it on - the trick is to treat yourself [i.e. the patch] BEFORE you get sick.
-Definitely do it. It was the first time in over ten years I did something just for myself and it was a wonderful indulgence. I met so many nice people and had a great time.
