If you want to escape from the pressure and stress of daily life, Accents invites you to connect with women stitchers for a rejuvenating weekend of camaraderie and friendship. The location is the Solomon Episcopal Conference Center in Loranger LA. The facility is located on LA 445, just 13 miles from the I-12 exit. It’s an easy drive from I-10 and Causeway. Just take I-10 to I-55, then I-55 to I-12 East. Stay on I-12 for 3 exits to LA 445. Take the exit toward the Global Wildlife Center. Just a short distance past the turn for the Global Wildlife Center you will see the entrance to the Solomon Center on the right hand side of the highway. Drive through the gates and meander your way around the shell road to the parking area. Check-in is in the main lodge located between the sleeping accommodations, the chapel and the cafeteria.

The weekend offers an unstructured environment which provides two days for stitching your personal projects. Gayle is available to answer questions and improve your stitching knowledge and techniques through one on one instructions and/or weekend demos. Meals are cooked on the premises and served at 8 a.m., noon and 6 p.m. Coffee, hot tea, juices and ice water are available throughout the day in the stitching room. Soft drinks are available in a vending machine. There is also a small refrigerator available for the group to share. The sleeping rooms are awesome. They have two comfortable twin beds, a sofa, a desk, a large closet and a private bath. The grounds are secluded and have walking trails and benches and rockers interlaced throughout.

Mark your calendar for July 30 - August 2nd and connect with sister stitchers. A 25% deposit reserves your spot. Reservations are based on availability. Attendance is limited to women stitchers, age 18 and older. Payments can be made by cash, check or credit cards.
