Accents is a brick and mortar needlework shop located in the metropolitan New Orleans area. We opened on July 5, 1984. Our current product line is counted cross stitch. Since Hurricane Katrina we have specialized in charts relating to the culture of our city and our state. We stock many fabrics and fibers that are not included on our website. If you are looking for a product we welcome your phone calls or emails.

The website is a work in progress so changes, additions and deletions are constantly in motion. If you have any problem using the site, you can reach us during our shop hours which are Tuesday-Friday 10am til 5pm, Saturday 10am til 4pm. We are closed on Sunday and Monday.
*** Mardi Gras ***
We invite you to visit our city during Mardi Gras season. Mardi Gras Day is always on a Tuesday and can fall as early as February 3 or as late as March 9th. The official beginning of Mardi Gras season is January 6th, the Feast of Twelfth Night (feast of the Epiphany or Little Christmas in some cultures). Mardi Gras ends at midnight on Mardi Gras Day (the day before the beginning of the Lenten season).
